Middle School Division - Foreign language options for seventh and eighth graders include Latin, Spanish and French. Students who successfully complete two years of the same language receive a shared credit for Providence High School and will be enrolled as a freshman in Latin II, Spanish II, or French II.
High School Division - The Foreign Language Department offers a program crafted to maximize the students’ linguistic abilities through a combination of speaking, reading, writing, and listening activities. This preparation is necessary in order to compete in a changing world community in which bilingual skills are required. Completion of the program may enable a student to carry college level credit into the colleges of their choice or to receive credit through the CLEP/advanced placement exam.
