MIDDLE SCHOOL: Grades 6, 7, 8

  1. Complete an Admissions Application. There is no application fee.
  2. Register for the Middle School Placement Test (MSPT). Cost: $10.00 (payable day of test)
  3. Take the MSPT at Providence Catholic School. Students who take the MSPT at Providence on December 8, 2018 and register by February 22, 2018, are eligible for a Merit Scholarship. Scholarship eligibility is based on test scores. Criteria used for the admissions decision for grades 6, 7, 8
    • Most Recent Report Card, Attendance and Discipline Records
    • Most recent standardized test scores (i.e. Stanford, Iowa Assessment, STARR)
    • MSPT scores
    • Interview with student and parents if requested by Admissions Committee
  4. Students are notified of their status once records and MSPT test scores are received.
  5. Upon acceptance, a link will be sent to register online. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Grade 9

  1. Complete an Admissions Application. There is no application fee.
  2. Register for the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Cost: $15.00 (payable day of test)
  3. Take the HSPT at Providence. Students who take the HSPT at Providence, and register by February 22, 2018, are eligible for Academic Scholarships. Scholarship eligibility is based on test scores and grades.
    • 8 th Grade Report Card, Attendance and Discipline Records
    • Most recent standardized test (i.e. Stanford, Iowa Assessment, STARR)
    • Teacher and/or Principal recommendations
    • HSPT scores
    • Interview with student and parents if requested by Admissions Committee
  4. HSPT results are mailed to student.
  5. Providence will request official school records and recommendations from student’s current school.
  6. Students are notified of their status in early February, only if we have received all records, recommendations, and HSPT scores.
  7. Upon acceptance, a link will be sent to register online.

HIGH SCHOOL: Transfer Students Grades 10 & 11

  1. Complete an Admissions Application. There is no application fee.
  2. Documents will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and an interview time will be arranged.
  3. Students are notified of their status upon completion of the Admissions Committee review.
  4. Upon acceptance, a link will be sent to register online.

HIGH SCHOOL: Transfer Students Grade 12

Providence does not typically accept transfers during the senior year from any area high school. For students who relocate from out of town, acceptance for grade 12 is decided on an individual basis.
