In the spirit of Christian service, as inspired by the sisters from the Congregation of Divine Providence, Providence students are encouraged to continue the legacy of service. As the sisters live out the fundamental value of service and justice, students are encouraged to share with the community their gifts and talents to make a difference in the world around them. By helping others, they learn from the experience about themselves and the issues that affect our world. Students have a requirement of fulfilling service hours each year as part of a graduation requirement. As we strongly believe that each Providence student is called to be a leader, this experience will help build her character as a leader.

Each high school student is required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of community service for each year she is enrolled at Providence. National Honor Society members are required to complete 25 hours of community service in addition to this campus requirement. Each middle school student is required to complete 10 hours of community service each year she is enrolled at Providence. National Junior Honor Society members are required to complete 10 hours of community service in addition to this campus requirement.
