Judge Gloria Saldana
Gloria Saldana (nee Ramirez) is a Providence graduate from 1960. A Native of San Antonio who is a bilingual speaker in English and Spanish. She obtained her accounting degree from UTSA and her law degree from St. Mary’s University. As a jurist, she presided over complex commercial civil litigation, high conflict family and child protection cases and sensitive cases regarding confidential trade secrets seeking extraordinary injunctive relief. Before she was elected trial judge in 2007, Judge Saldana was a trial lawyer with a general practice in business, family, criminal, personal injury, probate, immigration, and appellate law. She first joined the state bar in 1996 and was a sustaining member for approximately twenty years. She attained certification as a mediator in 1991; became a certified arbitrator in 2016; and has served as a private judge.
Mary Ledesma Botello
Mary Ledesma Botello is a Providence graduate from the class of 1970. A women who has given back to Providence for many years, through her work on the Providence Board of Directors. She cares deeply for Providence and this can be seen through her many acts of devotion within her community at St Lukes Catholic Church and her time spent on aiding in the success of Providence events such as the annual gala, where Mary has helped the Chair of the Silent Auction, Mary Beth Tyler, set up the silent auction. Mary Is the proud mother of two Provets; Jessica and Angela and the sister of Carmen Ledesma class of 1973, and Martha Ledesma class of 1975.
Providence graduate class of 1974. She has recorded as an independent artist as well as for A&M, Warner Bros, and Rounder Records and has been a featured artist on Austin City Limits, A Prairie Home Companion and other NPR programs. With sixteen CDs to her name, Tish’s distinct sound has gained her much critical acclaim. Her latest CD After The Fair, released in 2013, was recorded in Germany and is reflective of her 9 years spent in the Beatles old stomping grounds in Hamburg. Tish has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe and continues to draw a loyal and growing audience.
Roni Risenhoover Yanas
Roni Risenhoover is a graduate from class of 1967. She is a kind, patient, gracious, and generous Provet woman. She is tenacious in her roles as a wife, as a mother, as a professional, and as a friend to many.
Roni has a distinguished career in nursing, spanning more than 45 years, having earned her BSN degree from the University of Texas. Caring for people has been her life’s passion. She foresaw her calling early in life and was an active member of the Future Nurses of America while she was a student at Providence High School. Continuously expanding her education, she has excelled in her field. Her co-workers look up to Roni as an exemplary nurse, admiring her intelligence and calming voice. She has been employed by the Methodist Hospital system for her entire career and received numerous performance awards. For the last 8 years Roni has worked in the Hyperbaric Medicine Wound Care unit.
Bonnie Lamelle Abadie
Bonnie Lamelle Abadie is a native San Antonian, and a graduate from Providence class of 1973. She holds BA and MTS degrees in Religious Studies and Theological studies; is a Doctor of Ministry student and currently serving as the Director of Theological Field Education for Oblate School of Theology. Bonnie has ministry experience as a catechist, liturgist, liturgical musician, lay ministry formation teacher, administrator and spiritual director. She has also addressed the young adults on prioritizing their life in a workshop entitled "Jesus Take the Wheel". Bonnie has given back to Providence in many ways, but most of all by living in commitment to The CDP core values and beliefs of; striving for excellence, nourishing her faith in God on a daily basis, practicing integrity and working for justice in our community. Her work within Theological Education is immeasurable.
